Hi Chrissie

Bank holiday won't be much good as they will probably be busy at the Hilton. What date did we go last year? Scrap that it was the 23rd which is Easter this year! I think the 16th sounds good. Could do with someone to ring the Hilton and see if it's viable first and estimate of price then we can set up a specific thread. If Jean isn't about I'll try and call her tomorrow see if she will do the call; I'm a bit tied up at the moment. I don't mind keeping check of numbers etc. , helping with a raffle etc.

Hi Chrissie

Thank you for ringing, I thought you didn't want to do that Confused !! I still think the price is good value for what we got and it isn't much more than last time. Think it might be worth deleting the other thread and transferring the hotel details to this one so everything is one place. We need to keep this thread at the top of the pile to attract attention of members.

Thanks again Chrissie,

Hi Christine,

You have only given it 4 DAYS, I am sure more people would have come along. Leave it a bit longer please, it would have been lovely to meet everyone.

Here's Hoping

Bloomin' heck Chrissie folk haven't had a chance yet! Blink

Surely it's far too soon to be cancelling?! Not everyone is on here so regularly and probably haven't had chance to see the thread. We need to get in touch with others who haven't posted for a while see if any are interested. What about all those who came along last year (Liz,Helly,Jan, Jo, Monty, Barbara, Paula and loads of others!)

We can't mess the Hilton about so don't cancel just yet please. Can you find out if they will do an offer on hotel accommodation? Some of us will need to stay, it's a long way from the North of England and Scotland!

Lorna, if this falls through we will organise a 'northern' meet up ... lots of us live up North!

Hi Lyn,

Do you fancy a meet up in Edinburgh before April, I could look into it if you do. Remember there were others who were interested too.

well i have not canceled yet
its the concrat i was worrying about and people changing there minds and re arragangeing it .Finding it slightley messie
we have to have 35 min people we had 36 last year and welll over 45 year before .

one in the concrat can,t change after a date which is ages yet .
then if anything goes wrong someone has to pay .

I have asked for someone to help and Nina did say she would i need someone to take over the paper work ( or the concrat )
as being non schooled i will make misakes and need someone to welcome people in and shout dinner is served .

with a concrat we need to be on the ball dead line for bookings before needing to get out of the concrat .

So i will leave it a few more days too see what you all come up with .
It should be on the booking that i would be handing over the paper work .
hilton is great for space disabled loos food sitting chatting and it has a pool you can go in for a fiver or free if you you stay there .
plus it had great offers in staying there .I shared a double double and it was £50 odd beween us and with a nice breakfast .
this Hilton has it all but they are not all the same and some have steps .
its kind of doing what you know .Reards to looking for other places .Well fuel is pricey and i am in the slightist of flares ( slightley stiff tried and finger hurts )

so what do you think cancel or not and would someone like to take over with my help

Christine

Hi Christine,

The more the merrier, if you would like to come up, go for it. Hopefully Lynn will be interested too. Our paper is full of bargain weekends 2 for 1 in Edinburgh. I really am looking forward to meeting the members in person. There was a few in the Edinburgh area who may also be interested. I am still up for Leicester in April, it quite a distance but we would stay over.

Take care Lorna x Smile
